Antonio Molina is a full professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Department of Biotechnology-Plant Biology, UPM. He is the Director of the Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics, a joint UPM-INIA Center. Dr. Molina’s PhD thesis was supervised by Dr. Francisco García-Olmedo, the pioneer of plant biotechnology in Spain, at the UPM. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Unit, Syngenta (NC, USA). Dr. Molina leads a CBGP research group focusing on plant immunity applied to crop protection. He regularly cooperates with national and international companies of technology transfer. Dr. Molina is co-founder of PlantResponse Biotech SL, and chairman of its scientific advisory board. The company received the EuropaBio award for the best innovative European SME in Green Biotechnology in 2016.
